A broad, witless romantic comedy...a would-be homage that lacks both common sense and an appropriate sensibility.

I'm surprised by all the negative comments. I have read everything Shannon Hale has written and she is very talented. I'm sure the negative comments come from people who just "don't get it."

I found this hilarious and charming. Nothing is real in Austenland. Not even the pugs.

Ok, so really it probably shouldn't get 5 stars from me, I mean, it isn't the most spectacular movie ever... but heck, I enjoyed the crap out of it! I laughed my head off so often I kept having to pause it and rewind a few moments I was having so much fun. The cast was a blast! J.J. Feild was precious and Keri Russell is adorable. The costumes were lovely. Heck, I just finished it a few minutes ago and I want to go watch it again!
