C'est difficile d'adapter Asterix. Il faut reconnaitre que le travail n'est pas fait par dessus la jambe, et que Edouard Baer interprete mieux Asterix que Christian Clavier. Il en ressort un film pas desagreable ou l'on sent le respect de la bande dessinee, malgre une Angleterre representee de facon beaucoup trop contemporaine. Une realisation soignee mais sans genie, ou l'on retrouve pendant quelques passages les emotions des aventures de Goscinny.

Une adaption assez fidèle à la BD. On regrettera cependant le jeu des acteurs. Notamment celui de Catherine Deneuve qui imite si piètrement l'accent bristish !

Ce film m'a surpris en me faisant rire plusieurs fois. Là où Chabat, avec son adaptation d'Astérix « Djamel chez Cléopatre », avait sorti la grosse artillerie à blagues, cet épisode fait dans la subtilité, distillant des blagues plus fines et des références inattendues aux mondes de la bande dessinée et du cinéma (Orange Méchanique, Star Wars, ...). Edouard Baer et Fabrice Lucchini sont exactement dans la bonne mesure.

moi j'ai bien aimé les 2nd rôles... Luchini en César, Dany Boon, Lemercier, Gérard Jugnot,... des petits rôles, mais ils sont pas mal ;-)

One more time the producers were proud to say that movie were the one who could equal the comic. One more time they were wrong. The character of Asterix is still too different from the original character. The actor does not change anything. Nevertheless, Obelix is more truthfull, but could be better. The producers tried to mix two different album, Asterix in Britain and Asterix and the Normans... The Normans were not necessary and their place in the film is just to allow Dany Boon to have a part in this film. Too many modification compared to the original comic.
