Aspen Extreme (1993)

T.J. and his friend Dexter quit their jobs in Detroit to become ski-instructors in Aspen. While T.J. advances to the most popular instructor of the school during the season, he has to take care for Dexter, who's future is less bright and who's eventually thinking about jobbing as drug courier - bringing their friendship to a test. Meanwhile the rich business woman Brice supports T.J. in his writing ambitions and invites him to live at her home. But in her absence he falls in love with the stunningly beautiful blond radio moderator Robin.

Hero claims to be a gentle, playful parody of the action/adventure genre, but comes off as a mercenary attempt to cash in on summer movie-going habits.

Went into it expecting something really cheesy and stupid, and was pleasantly surprised. Oddly touching and funny, NOT "Top Gun on the Ski Slopes", and thoroughly enjoyable. Plus, Paul Gross.

Last Action Hero is a colorful, fun romp through self-aware parody. There are a lot of funny in-jokes and riffing on action movie cliches to be had here. The film also features a highly memorable performance from Charles Dance as the main villain. Lat Action Hero is a much underrated movie.

Amazing movie! They weren't kidding when they called Aspen Extreme the "Top Gun" of the ski slopes. Offering a mix of Teri Polo's grace and Pete Berg's raw motion, Aspen Extreme grabs you by the shirt and doesn't let go until the credits roll. Finally let's not forget that 1980s action sports pioneers Scot Schmidt and Doug Coombs come included in this magical package for FREE. The TJ Burke show won't disappoint. Five Starts!!
