My favorite of the Martin & Lewis pictures, and could even be considered a legitimately great movie. Tashlin spent most of his early career directing Looney Tunes, and it shows. The film has a carefree, stream-of-consciousness, anything can happen vibe to it, in a candy-colored world where comic book artists get involved in international intrigue. It's often teetering on the edge of insanity. Sexy, sassy and a load of fun. Maclaine easily holds her own with the boys, and Malone does well, too.

My absolute favourite Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis movie - I adore Shirley MacLaine and I love their apartment and the rooftop - classic and classy xox

Perhaps if I'd gone through these Martin/Lewis pics in reverse order, I would have enjoyed this one most, and Parnders least, instead of vice-versa. Even the presence of Shirley MacLaine can't save this, although I am again intrigued by Tashlin's commentary and self-aware gags. I'd like to see how he handles a better vehicle.

Passably entertaining, this version is not as good as the 1937 one starring Jack Benny.

Classic and hilarious Martin and Lewis film. Jerry Lewis is hysterical with his dreams and costume and even trying to go upstairs!
