Touching and funny. Probably a lot of us in our teenage life had had some misunderstandings with our parents? I particular like how the past, the memories, are interweaved with the present. But if, only if, Colin Firth is not the leading actor, very likely the whole charm of the film will just go down. Btw, how on earch did they found such superb handsome young Blakes? Colin is definitely super attractive, but even the young actors playing his younger self are so handsome!

Especially one for those who've lost their own fathers. The two eras of the young Blake and the grown up coming to terms with his fathers character are soul searching and realistic. If you're a parent yourself, you see the cycle continuing. The stages between youth and being grown up seem less defined as you travel through time yourself and much of the films content you see in your own life. A powerful film about family and mortality.
