I love the twisted concept with the anamorph art and the serial killer. It's kinda boring some parts but when the movie was developed really worth it. The end it's perfect Dafoe is a huge actor, great acting.

I'm reminded a bit of Se7en with a dash of Red Dragon thrown in, although Anamorph isn't on par with either of those.

This film took an interesting enjoyment of portraying murders with an artful representation, and as the title writes out it leads into an interesting double imaging of the murders (that no one would ever really be able to pick up by watching unless they could actually step inside the film and take a look at the images deeply for themselves). A little predictable, but still an all right film to spend an evening watching.

Unlike Silence of the Lambs or Se7en Anamorph lacks urgency but delivers a movie that is more of an art piece, literally. In that sense it's more like Christopher Nolan's Prestige. The film also manages to take the widely accepted cliches of the detective thriller genera and turn them around.
