Amu is a moving story based on the government orchestrated massaccre against the Sikh population in 1984. It is a brilliant film with beautiful performances made by the entire cast especially Konkona Sen Sharma. Shonali Bose has created a movement with her very first directorial venture.

Interesting storyline that made me want to learn more... but, the movie was choppy and could have been made much better. Kudos to Konkana Sen Sharma for having a decent "ABCD" accent.

Sadly movies like these go unnoticed...on facebook itself I see some 80% pple voted who are not interested in movies like Amu..blame it on lack of publicity or what I dunno...but you cannot run away from reality. Sorry got carried away..it is good movie. Great job by Konkana with her very believable American accent.

Just came back from watching the movie and hmmm...have mixed feelings about it. The film is about the 1984 riots against the sikhs in Delhi - a challenging subject and credit has to be given to the director for doing a commendable job in her very first movie. The movie is filmed very well but the story rambled a lot before coming to the point. It also had a lot of loose ends but Konkona Sensharma's acting was brilliant and it was a one-woman show all throughout. Brinda Karat looks great and must say, it is an impressive debut for her too! A good movie, but as Parag has said below, could have been made better.
