American Cousins (2003)

Two American mafiosi, Gino and Settimo, take refuge in the Glasgow cafe owned by their Scottish/Italian cousin, but he isn't the tough guy they'd expected. Gino and Settimo try to repay Roberto's hospitality by chasing off a debt collector who wants his property, but their strong arm tactics alarm him and he realises they aren't the PR consultants they claimed to be.

wow umn what a movie 2 watch...i have just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a great movie 2 watch..its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that both danny nucci n dan hedaya play good parts throughout this movie...i think that the director of this Drama, Comedy movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie..its a good Drama, Comedy movie 2 watch n its a really enjoyable planned movie

I liked this film. It is simple and nicely shot. Easy and enjoyable to watch. The contrived ending lets it down a bit, but I can forgive it that. The story is of the main character and how he finds himself, and has a feel good factor without being too cheesy. Its about family and culture as well. I would have liked to have seen more shots of Glasgow. It's a simple film about the stuff that matters.

Solid crime drama with comedy touches. Fine performances, especially Shirley Henderson, who always seems to give wonderful and warm performances. Not too heavy, good concept.
