an honest conversation about america's overvaluation of physical appearance...and the related nightmare scenarios.

I real eye opener about our society and its obsession with fashion, products, modeling, and looks. The film covers stories from a 12 year old girl unable to model because she was told her hips were too wide, to a woman fired from a casino job for refusing to wear make-up. This one's a real shocker and a must-see.

This film bites off far more than it can chew, but it still has some salient points that should be discussed in more depth. Though it is certainly low budget, I admire how much this film was able to achieve despite its limitations.

[Director] Roberts has a point of view, yes, but he also has a curiosity that drives him and the movie. Lucky are those who go along for the ride.

A documentary about beauty in this age, how it's been moulded from the media, celebrities and profit making society. From the low self esteem of a 12yr old model wannabe to the dangers of cosmetic surgery to dangerous dieting to the role models, this is quite trivial. Still, one has to face it, I can't imagine watching beauty/fashion/cosmetic ads of ordinary looking people that aren't attractive. There is some truth in the process of selection eg. example of recruiting a more presentable person vs not. Food for thought.
