This isn't a tell-all doc about the iconic filmmaker: it's a love letter from his friends and family. With a terrific range of film clips, home movies, behind-the-scenes footage...

The most fascinating part of this documentary revolves around the early life of Robert Altman and his career prior to the breakthrough of M.A.S.H. His later career is perhaps too glossed over but this is nonetheless a fascinating look at a ground breaking director.
