Saw this last night. An incredibly beautiful and tragic tale of a man who was in love with nature, especially the grizzly bear. Sadly his passion, or perhaps his foolhardiness, lead to his gruesome death at the claws of the creature he so revered. Great compilation of footage by Werner Herzog.

I loved this movie. Such a fascinating portrait of this man's psyche along with breathtaking nature footage. Beautiful and tragic.

One of the most interesting documentaries I have seen. The story of a man who lived among bears and foxes in Alaska is more about how the New World is so disgusting that sometimes being away from it and closer to nature is a much happier place. Warning though: graphic material ahead. This should not be seen by children. If it sounds interesting to you, I promise you will never forget seeing it. I sure won't.

Man goes to live with bears. Not a good idea. Terrible news that the guy was killed and I dont mean it the wrong way but-dont go and live with bears. Sounds like a good idea in theory but not really in the real world. So as a documentary its a bit of a strange one.
