its better then the second, not scarier. Typical game-to-movie picture, relativly, suprisingly good acting by Slater and Tara, good action...

After seeing the awful reviews that this movie received, and seeing it in several WatchMojo videos, I decided to check it out. Honestly, I enjoyed the movie. There are some great action sequences, a pretty good story, cool looking monsters, and I really like Christian Slater, so that gives this movie some bonus points. The only complaints that I have with the movie are the directing, Tara Reid's performance, and the unnecessary sex scene between Christian Slater and Tara Reid, but these are all pretty minor. As someone who never played the Alone in the Dark video games, I can say that I enjoyed this movie, and will give it a perfect score.

Normally I would have given a movie like this 3 stars for being "so bad it's good" but God Lord! Tara Reid is awful! Like reading cue cards bad. Oh man. Glad I didn't pay money for this. Aside from Ms. Reid it's your standard B movie, with crap plot and hokey casting. Fun Time. Just don't let Tara Talk

Unconvincing leads, nonsensical plot, dumb staging -- this movie has it all.
