An adventure that -- right up until the end -- is a magnificent journey of scientific discovery and exploration.

really cool and absolutely beautifully filmed, but the science was lacking. I would have liked to see an explanation of some kind of investigation into the animals more, rather then just showing me what they look like.

A little long with the set-up stuff, but once we get into the water it's really neat. Fish with little lights built in...damn cool.

As science gives way to science fiction, the movie loses its way, squandering time that might better be spent exploring the ocean's floor, where these alien life forms already among us must be seen to be believed.
