Action in the North Atlantic (1943)

Merchant Marine sailors Joe Rossi (Humphrey Bogart) and Steve Jarvis (Raymond Massey) are charged with getting a supply vessel to Russian allies as part of a sea convoy. When the group of ships comes under attack from a German U-boat, Rossi and Jarvis navigate through dangerous waters to evade Nazi naval forces. Though their mission across the Atlantic is extremely treacherous, they are motivated by the opportunity to strike back at the Germans, who sank one of their earlier ships.

For those who like tales of the Good War and Bogart, this black & white film is worth watching.

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch..........its got a good cast of actors/actressess thorughout this movie....i think that humphrey bogart, raymond massey, ruth gordon play good roles/parts throughout this movie......i think that the director of this classics/drama/adventure movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie.....i think that this is a really powerful drama movie 2 watch......its got a brilliant cast throughout this movie.....its such a brilliant classics movie 2 watch with a good cast thorughout this movie

Exciting WWII action film about Merchant Marine captain Humphrey Bogart and his crew fighting dirty Nazis in the North Atlantic. Crew members include Raymond Massey and Alan Hale. After watching the film I read that Ruth Gordon was also in the film, though I didn't actually notice her because I primarily think of her as Muade or Minnie Castevet and not as a young actress. Overall, the story isn't all that original, but the action is good and the cast is first rate.
