The low stakes of the camp drama and the soundtrack’s indistinguishably familiar pop (adaptations of contemporary Christian hits, plus four original songs) aim for easy, catchy, comfortable fun – a breezy intention which casts some of the script’s insensitive moments in even harsher light.

Lovably lighthearted, wildly energetic, musically raptured, and romantically entertaining. A Week Away is both a sweetly soothing and surprisingly soaring experience in the fun department, but above all, it is a moving love story with a meaningful message for moviegoers all around the world.

The scenes feel very choppy and unconfortable to watch, acting is horrible, sound effects very unrealistic. I couldn't relate with any of the characters, the way they think, their decisions are very unrealistic. Singing is great, the energy is very high, if you're into this kind of christian musical movies you might be entertained.
