Two twelve-year-old boys, Romeo and Gavin, undergo an extraordinary test of character and friendship when Morell, a naive but eccentric and dangerous stranger, comes between them. Morell befriends with the two boys and later asks them to help him pursue Romeo's beautiful elder sister. He gradually becomes more violent after she rejects him.

Brilliant movie. Funny and some quite un nearving moments.

Along with Dead Man's Shoes and This Is England, Meadow's masterpiece. Possibly Paddy Considine's best performance.

Unstoppable tale of redemption, lain out beautifully for the audience to indulge in their entertainment needs while still being presented with something beautiful. It's been said before but I think it's more than obvious that Meadow's is the UK's most beautiful story teller, with his recent success we can only wait for bigger and better things. This film is without doubt one of his more touching, involving and heart warming/wrenching of his backlog.
