A Long Way Down (2014)

Four lost souls—a disgraced TV presenter, a foul-mouthed teen, an isolated single mother, and a failed musician—decide to end their lives on the same night, New Year's Eve. When this disillusioned quartet of strangers meet unintentionally at the same suicide hotspot, a London high-rise with the well-earned nickname Topper's Tower, they mutually agree to call off their plans for six weeks, forming an unconventional, dysfunctional family. They become media sensations as the Topper House Four and search together for reasons to keep on living.

Reussir une comedie non convenue sur le theme du suicide tient de la gageure. Le film manque un peu de matiere, reste a distance raisonnable de l'irreverentieux mais se tire d'affaire par son carre d'acteur plutot plaisant...

a wonderful uplifting british drama about four strangers who go to the same tower to commit suicide but make a pack to not go ahead and do it but then do it on valentine's day to turn around and be in each other's lives to make them better.

I basically saw for the exceptional cast and I thought that the plot would go somewhere but it just remained in cliches. But still not a bad film.

just by the trailer I have to go an buy the movie 2 of them are from the movie need for speed great movie I own it the older woman is from Muriel wedding funny an the tall slender guy is from Mrs doubtfire so soon that i am looking to buy the other 2 movies

I actually liked the writing of the movie unlike some of our other reviewers, I found that the characters stories were really drawn up well. I think it shows that no matter your successes or your stature in life, everyone is capable of sadness. It's dark, and it should be, and it pulled at my heart strings. I love it!
