Capra's second to last film, made in 1959, and set in Miami Beach, shows widower swinger single pop Sinatra trying to stay financially afloat while trying to raise his serious young son in a beachside hotel. Thelma Ritter and Eddie G. and Capra's deft touch lift the proceedings considerably and the piece includes the song "High Hopes".

I only watched this because I saw Eleanor Parker was in it & I'm a huge fan of her. However, her part is really quite small and the movie itsself felt like it dragged on & on and just didn't grab my attention.

ith this film the only question that I have is does Frank Sinatra's character really get it, or do his friends and family just love him for the screw up that he is?

I saw it because of Frank Sinatra, and it was entertaining, but it wasn't the best. I do love the High Hopes song though.
