Re-creates that chilling sense that comes when, in the middle of a pleasant conversation, one realizes the other person is off his rocker.

Pleasant and moving film. It is a little slow moving, but it fits in with the backwards North Carolina setting. Henry Thomas gives a surprisingly effective performance. He is sensitive, touching and fully convincing in the role.
