A Bunch of Amateurs (2008)

Jefferson Steel, a washed-up Hollywood action star, is desperate to revive his flagging career. When his sleazy agent signs him up for what he believes is a high-profile Royal Shakespeare Company production of King Lear at Stratford upon Avon, Steel thinks he has finally landed the plum role he has been waiting for. However, he soon discovers that he has been tricked into joining an amateur dramatics group for a charity production.

Nice little British comedy drama with Burt Reynolds as a fading movie star who gets sent to England to act in a Shakespeare play to make money for the towns people who want to keep their theatre.

Mainly good, bit slow in parts but it was a nice filem.

Silly film, but then I was in the mood for silly so thoroughly enjoyed it and even laughed out loud a few times. Imelda Staunton is always good and it was great to see Charles Durning still alive and kicking.

this was really a good movie, and kind of mirrored burt reynolds's career, exc for playing shakespeare. he turned out to be a better actor after he gave up on those stunt movies. this movie, striptease, my name is earl are all very easy to watch burt grow old and funny.
