8: The Mormon Proposition becomes a vital, important cry for an open dialogue. It's unfortunate that one side still refuses to come to the table.

A chaotic sequence midway through shows Mormon and gay-rights protesters shouting abuse at each other in San Francisco, and that's pretty much what the whole movie feels like.

I think it's a solid film to watch to get a continuing perspective on the struggle for gay rights,and the obstacles that are put in front of gays that many are unaware of. It's revealing to see how much influence that Mormons have had on stopping the progress towards gay rights.

Wow, who woulda thought missionaries with money could outdo tearful street protests? Little talk of legality or what it takes to legalize gay marriage - the stuff I wanna know. The fact that this is narrated by Lance Dustin Black means gay marriage proponents still aren't bringing our A game. Come on!

The unrelenting attack on the LDS church in the documentary lets other churches and religious groups off the hook...The Mormons did not and could not secure (Prop 8's) passage all by themselves, but the film makes it look like they did.
