Most of the behaviour that's presented here is pretty stupid, and I'm not a fan of Tibetan Buddhism (which takes a non-religious philosophy and turns it into a ritual-heavy quasi-religion), but Herzog makes a beautiful film out of it.

Inizia quasi in sordina ma a poco a poco questo documentario ti coinvolge facendoti vedere una realtà, quella buddista, poco nota da questo punto di vista. I raduni di massa, le cerimonie, e anche un Dalai Lama che sembra veramente una persona normalissima. Bello.

A minor work from Herzog, which means it's still brilliant. It's interesting, but sometimes tedious. I think he tries to tackle too much in this short documentary, and barely begins to scratch the surface. But hey, I'm a completist, and I found it to be a worthwhile experience.

Wheel of Time lacks the intensity of many of Herzog's works, and the meditative nature of the monks is a strange match for the wildness of Herzog.
