Well Done Abba (2010)

This is the story of Armaan Ali, a driver working for a senior executive in Mumbai. He takes a month's leave to find a husband for his teenage daughter, who lives near Hyderabad. When he is delayed and returns to work after three months, his employer threatens to sack him. But he is persuaded to listen to the reason for Armaan Ali's delay. The story he relates is delightful, hilarious -- and poignant.

sublime narration...didn't even feel that 2.5 hours had passed by. This is a story about the 'real' india...one away from Salman Khan & Akshay's firang jaunts. Benegal shows all thats wrong (without trying to generate an angry young man), he also shows whats right in our country. This movie will make you smile, laugh and will also leave a tear in your eye at times. This is surely worth watching.

If you observe the last scene, you might come with this doubt: was the story, that Armaan Ali was telling, true? Or was it entirely the creation of his sheer imagination? This subtle hint added to the charm. Although I didn't like the subplot of Sakina (and the TV scenes could have been better), the narration and the plot were pretty good-- much alike its predecessor, 'Welcome to Sajjanpur', only the former being more hilarious. Boman Irani and Ila Arun, as always, presented us with their superb performances. "Hum toh apni bawdi lenge, bawdi humko hona re!"

could've been much funnier; the whole movie cruised along without a climax and was a tad too long. reminded me of peepli live, but a more 'accessible, for the masses' kinda social /political commentary. the actress playing muskaan, the feisty daughter , was a joy to watch.

Excellent movie on social issues presented in a hilarious way. If you have enjoyed 'Peepli Live', you would definitely like this one too
