Well Done Abba (2010)

This is the story of Armaan Ali, a driver working for a senior executive in Mumbai. He takes a month's leave to find a husband for his teenage daughter, who lives near Hyderabad. When he is delayed and returns to work after three months, his employer threatens to sack him. But he is persuaded to listen to the reason for Armaan Ali's delay. The story he relates is delightful, hilarious -- and poignant.

Went for a morning show out of pure boredom... and was very pleasantly surprised!! Good story, great performances (esp. Boman Irani and Ravi Kishen) and socio-political commentary thrown in as well...

I liked it a lot. I remember reading this short story long time ago, either in Vipula (Telugu) or some other weekly magazine. Screenplay is so free flowing. Bommana Irani is fantastic. Music is very appropriate. I may ask Mr.Shyam Benagal to make a movie for me in Telugu. But I wonder how to market it :-(

could've been much funnier; the whole movie cruised along without a climax and was a tad too long. reminded me of peepli live, but a more 'accessible, for the masses' kinda social /political commentary. the actress playing muskaan, the feisty daughter , was a joy to watch.

One of the simplest and greatest movies I have ever seen, showing the hidden elephant of corruption in a metaphorical way. I'm pretty sure I have seen this as a play as a kid.
