Intriguing title to start. I first saw it before I could connect to it, but never quite forgot it. Saw it often since and still love this film, and Ettore Scola! Their lives made me anxious to leave home, see Rome, live what!

A tender, charming, warm ode to Italian cinema, C'eravamo tanto amati is an appealing comedy-drama about three friends bonded by war, and separated by social classes and the past of time, with enchanting performances by its cast, and classic imagery.
