[Dominic Fine's] camera captures beautiful Ugandan locations -- and some equally beautiful character moments. The film ends on a surprisingly upbeat note.

I had never heard of this movie, but it ended up being one of the movies I could watch online via netflix. I am very glad that I did, because this was an amazing movie. It gave a story of hope in an area devastated by war. A heart-wrenching look at how children in northern Uganda are over coming their pain.

I can't believe how clearly these kids talk about tragedy. Some unbelievable stories here and some great imagery.

Emotional, tragic and yet uplifting story that shows the transitory power of music. This is a must watch film that is shot beautifully and is told from the mouths of not talking heads, but the children themselves. Also, if you ever wondered why the US must continue to offer food and funding to war torn countries, this film will definitely answer your question. I just wanted to reach through the screen and hug every one of the kids in this film. Be prepared and have Kleenex next to you just in case.
