They put the camera on their subjects and let them go loose. The subjects of the documentary expressed their views exactly as they wanted to, and nonetheless looked batshit crazy. It's quite odd that both sides of this debate will get the film that they want.

The recent trend in political documentaries is for filmmakers to heap ridicule and sarcasm on people they don't agree with, a la Michael Moore. Waiting for Armageddon (which has nothing to do with the 1998 Michael Bay movie) demonstrates that sometimes it's far more devastating to simply point the camera at your subjects and let them talk.

While this is a well-made and balanced documentary, as a Christian, I honestly don't really even regard "the rapture" as important. If it happens in my lifetime, GREAT, but it could also happen 1,000 years from now. In the end this film appears to be trying to paint all sides involved as desiring war, while that may be true of some hoping to speed their way to the 2nd coming, I hardly think that is the general thought of all believers of the main faiths of the world.

A reasonable overview of what SOME evangelicals believe regarding End Time prophecy. Although.... we do a lot of speculating in this department.
