100-minute-long piece of performance art masquerading as a moody, silly indie switchblade. Rarely impresses, succumbing to overwhelmingly sluggish filmmaking decisions and a permissive attitude that robs the picture of its...well...bite.

Mr. Cage gives a very over the top, exaggerated performance about a man slowly turning insane and thinking he's becoming a vampire. Very funny and very sad.

The insanity of the movie knows no end. Only Nicolas Cage could play a character so deranged and bat-shit crazy. For the most part it plays out like a straight forward vampire movie, only that Nic isn't a Vampire at all, just a yuppie who's out of his mind
