This was a good movie, pretty funny! And not to mention...pretty wild for back in the 60's!

It is really a darn shame that Under the Yum Yum Tree is not available on DVD, it is so entertaining. Story of a young sorority girl who moves into an apartment with her boyfriend under the circumstances they don't sleep together to test their compatibility. The problems arise when the lusty landlord living next door, who had had relationships with all previous tenants and didn't plan to stop with this one. Jack Lemmon is absolutely hilarious as the landlord, and Carol Lynley is absolutely ravishing and quite funny as well as the tenant and Dean Jones is also very good as her boyfriend. Definately one worth watching, try to catch it on TCM as I think that's the only way you'll get the chance. Overall 3.5/4 Stars Grade = B+

This film just put me in a good mood. Although the major themes were not new...it was a story that seemed ahead of its time. Great seeing Jack Lemon's diversity as an actor coming off the high of winning an Oscar earlier that year.

Very broad with Lemon unusually cast against type as a sleazy landlord intent on seducing a college girl under the nose of her fiancÃ©e. Has a really up-tempo energy but goes on too long and is very much a product of its time.

this movie has great storyline with lots of twists and surprises HOWEVER the character of Hogan is so annoying. The best part of this movie is when the cat says, "Here we go again!" It's so random. YUM YUM! I give it 2 stars because Hogan is so unbearable.
