On its last leg homeward, from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to San Diego, the USS Constellation hosts a jolly "tiger cruise" for US Navy, Marines and USNAF relatives, mainly minors ("Navy brats"). Attitudes and emotions vary from simple joy to open frustration, the worst brat being XO commander Gary Dolan's daughter Maddie, who wants him to refuse a promotion to command for a shore job. Then the news of the WCC terror crisis changes everything, as the crew is recalled to war footing.

Handled with sensitivity with powerful performances from it's mainly young cast

kinda boring in some parts but the majority of the movie was pretty good...

Bill Pullman and Hayden Panettiere were both fantastic! What a great duo for a fantastic movie! I'd like to see it again but Disney doesn't play their good movies at all anymore.

I remember Sept 11, 2001 but never thought a movie would be made based on it but when Disney Channel annouced it, I couldn't wait to watch it beings Disney Channel has made good movies, I'm willing to admit there's a few scenes that brought tears to my eyes (like when the C.O. 2nd in command announced the attacks) Disney Channel showed it again (after years) on the morning of 6/21 (I taped on DVR beings I was in bed and tears came to my eyes again

yeah, i'll give it extra points for a Navy movie, "Tiger cruise" is something we actually do, and well, after 4-5 days, pretty much all of our tigers are ready to go home. I think its about high time a Navy movie wasnt about jet jockeys or navay seals, or cute/funny movies. the Navy needs a balls out serious kick ass movie made pronto.
