Mockumentary about washed-up rockers (played perfectly by Guest, McKean, and Shearer) doesn't have the strongest narrative and loses a bit of its spontaneous, documentary style at times but is still hilarious due to the natural performances from the entire cast. The songs are excellent and cover a large range of signature band styles, including 80's hairbands and the Rolling Stones. Great cameos scattered throughout.

This is genuinely the best comedy film I have ever seen. One of the most quotable, deliriously funny films you will ever see, this is the sort of film that has the famous, more obvious jokes (Stonehenge, up to 11), but also has so many wonderful lines in every scene that you have to watch it many times just to hear every joke thats crammed in. All three main actors are just brilliant at what they do, the songs are great and overall this is simply nonstop jokes, and is an all time classic

Marti DeBergi is a film-maker who decides to make a rockumentary about the world's loudest british metal band Spinal Tap. It's in fact a spoof dubbing itself a real documentary of a real band. This has to be one of the funniest films ever made. Had me in tears with it's deadpan approach and never lets up. Probably the most quotable movie ever conceived.
