Thirteen (1974)

Shih Hsin-chiao (Ling Yun) is a journalist who trained under mentor Lu Tao-jan (Chin Han). Lu's daughter, Chih-pai (Tien Niu) is infatuated with the good-looking and intelligent Shih, but Shih sees her only as a child. When he returns from a long stay abroad, he finds that things have changed. Chih-pai is now an attractive young woman in a relationship with rich boy (Wang Yu). A miscarriage and Lu's death throw Shih and Chih-pai back together again.

Love it, unbelievable and so moving film, so powerful and its based on true events in Nikki Reeds life when she was younger, shes so brave.

Compelling, riveting, breathtaking... Nikki Reed and Evan Rachel Wood were both incredible in this teen drama. Haven't seen acting this good in quite a while. Flawlessly directed, Catherine Hardwicke proved why she is the one of the most influential and underrated directors in Hollywood. It's as real as drama gets. One of my all time favorites.

Jeez this movie opened my eyes to how bad teenagers could be. I'm 16 years old right now & I never did any of the things that Evie & Tracy did at 13. When I have kids they will never behave that way. Every parent & teenager should see this movie.
