Arterton is excellent, her chemistry with Claflin absolute perfection, the two actors disappearing into their respective roles.

Screen chemistry is an odd thing; often you only notice it when it isn’t there. (See: far too many Hollywood romantic comedies.) But Their Finest, an utterly charming film set in World War II-era London, contains a textbook example.

Slow at the beginning, builds into a very watchable and likeable film. Gemma Arterton gives a great performance as woman of the period, smart, thoughtful and underpaid! Well acted, nicely done WW2 'period' British film with a few twists.
