When the rogueish but loveable Raif is asked to be his brother Tim's best man at his wedding, he decides the best present for the happy newlyweds would be to catch the entire thing on video. He returns home from abroad to find his brother is no longer the bohemian vagabond that he used to be, and is in fact marrying into a very wealthy family, and the wedding they're about to be part of will be the most outlandish and bizarre that Cheshire has ever seen... I can't believe 73% of critics liked this movie. I specifically disregarded negative-to-lukewarm reviews (thinking, maybe they're just being snobs) in order to go and seek some light and unchallenging entertainment this afternoon. I must say, I can't recall the last time I looked at my watch in a cinema/having paid full price for a movie, prior to today. It features actors I like, but was truly less than the sum of its parts. I also would have thought I might find Rufus Hound more sympathetic (I've enjoyed his radio series about peoples' teenage diaries), but I'm not sure he's cut out for full-length, starring roles. All in all, this film was disappointing enough that I'm not sure I would have even felt it was worth so much time if I were watching it on an airplane. Give it a miss, in my opinion.

Low on big laughs but remains enjoyable thanks to a consistently amusing script and strong comic performances from a talented cast, though it's also a little too predictable in places.

Great Concept, Which Features Gags That Are Decent & Involve Many Drunk Montages. Although I Couldn't Stop Laughing The Film Features Stupid Immature Jokes But It Works. Excellent Concept, Great Thought Process And Some Good British Comedians, Is What Makes This Film Extremly Enjoyable.

It's the collection of Channel 4 geniuses that make this film tolerable. Hound can't act enough to been this dominant.
