This film was very cleverly done and that's why I have given it 4 stars. Amber Heard plays her role very well, at the start you think she is actually a normal person even when she is in the hospital. This is a good Thriller Movie, check it out people.

That this doesn't knock one backward out of one's seat is maybe unavoidable. But the goods here are good enough to make one eager for more.

Carpenter does what he's always done well here: individualizing shorthand personalities in a group under siege. This is Carpenter's first all-female ensemble, and the inmates are uniformly well-played.

Despite the bad reviews, this to me was a gripping affair. And yes, you've probably seen tons of horror films with a premise and a twist like that. But what lifts this above the standard chiller is John Carpenter's distinct directorial style - clean framing, masterful control of suspense and ethereal minimalist score.
