The Wackness (2008)

Set in New York City in the sweltering summer, The Wackness tells the story of a troubled teenage drug dealer, who trades pot for therapy sessions with a drug-addled psychiatrist. Things get more complicated when he falls for one of his classmates, who just happens to be the doctor's daughter. This is a coming-of-age story about sex, drugs, music and what it takes to be a man.

Awesome movie, loved it. I recommend everyone see this. Great story, great music (Biggie throughout), good cameos. In the end you are left with this awesome feeling. You may not love it like I do, but there is no way you won't like it.

Better than most "coming of age" stories due to some fine comic and dramatic performances by a talented cast.

Watching this, it brought me back to my own experience as a teenager in 1994, sans the drugs and New York scenery. Look for some small but intriguing performances by Method Man and Mary-Kate Olsen. It's not what you're expecting!
