Douglas mugs his way through a tedious routine of graceless, mistimed slapstick as his incompetent outlaw repeatedly fails to waylay the miscast Schwarzenegger and Ann-Margret, while director Needham - apparently lost without Burt Reynolds - resorts to hackneyed camera trickery, and only stops the rot with a truly offensive resolution.

A live action version of Road Runner and Wiley Coyote with Kirk Douglas and Arnold Schwarznegger. It's as funny as it sounds.

This movie is so classic. I remember watching it at my grandma's house back in the mid 80's on VHS. Its essentially a live action version of the Coyote and Roadrunner cartoon with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kirk Douglas! Whats not to love.

Kirk Douglas plays Cactus Jack Slade who is out to rob Handsome Stranger (Schwarzenegger) and Charming Jones (Ann-Margret) while on their way to deliver Jones back to her father. Great live action slapstick ala the old Road Runner cartoons make this one worth seeing again and again. Directed by Hal Needham (Smokey And The Bandit 1 and 2, The Cannonball Run).
