Two yankee con artists in Naples team up with a local criminal to rob money from a local Church; things go wrong after the weight of the 'sacred' money kickstarts a game of double crossing. The usual Commedia all'Italiana about a robbery, not as memorable as Big Deal on Madonna Street, but in the same style, and still entertaining.

Uno dei miei film preferitissimi! Le cinque stelline sono soprattutto per l'affetto che nutro nei confronti di questa pellicola divertentissima e, diciamolo, anche un po' bistrattata (basti pensare che in Italia non esiste una versione DVD). Bella la colonna sonora, sempre bella Napoli, esilarante Nino Manfredi e la sua scalcagnata banda, insomma, io non riesco a trovargli neanche mezzo difetto. A completare il quadro c'è un Totò ormai alle ultime battute, ma sempre grande nello stile. Imparzialissima, ma lo adoro.

Light-hearted Italian gangster comedy (1966), starring Senta Berger, Mario Adorf, etc. For what it is, it's not too bad. The movie is full of predictable silliness, as is to be expected in this genre. There's the greedy gangsters, the beautiful (and occasionally jealous) women, the good-for-nothing helpers, the Italian chaotic atmosphere, the falling out among thieves, the failing caper attempts, and the final success (well, perhaps not quite). Senta Berger is always a pleasure to watch in 1960s movies, and she even adds an element of feminism to this production.
