An Australian classic. David Gulpilil is luminous. A twist on the colonial tale.

A sensational script, plot and score topped off by some amazing performances. Gary Sweet is terrific as The Fanatic, David Gameau does really well as The Follower in his debut film and, as always, David Gulpilil is out-of-this-world as The Tracker. See it.

A wonderfully acted Australian film, with Aboriginal actor David Gulpilil. Highly recommended.

Nick Carter 12 May 2004

Combines a classic movie-Western setting and narrative with a Heart of Darkness-like morality play.

Colin Covert 26 Feb 2004

As the scorned but ever-resourceful guide, Gulpilil has the richest role and makes the most of it.
