The dictionary definition of style over content. Almost every shot is interesting in some way, but the film itself seems ultimately pointless. Some good acting from the Thai actors can't salvage it.
MOOD: Same as previous entry LISTENING TO: Five For Fighting - "Easy Tonight"
The Final Cut >> B+ >> Well-made gem with a good story. It's like if Eternal Sunshine was a thriller. The Tesseract >> C+ >> Good direction and structure, if a bit obvious and pretentious at times. Story isn't extraordinary but the suspense keeps you interested. Spanglish >> B >> Good dialogue and a nice turn for Adam Sandler whose character has depth. Good movie that is missing something that keeps it from being wonderful.
