The "Steve" referred to is Steve McQueen. Donal Logue (sic) is so good as the has-been college stud turned sad-sack that he makes this somewhat ordinary movie into something very warm and funny.

A witty film with well written banter, a fantastic performance by Donal Logue and an excellent philosophy

This film gets its bite from the thought-out dialogue which creates both a sense of realness and honesty. It's as much a story about self-love as it is about falling in love.

I keep forgetting how funny this movie is... and how great the "I Lied About Being the Outdoor Type" song is. Donal Logue is pitch-perfect.

Loved it. And yes, I now have a HUGE crush on Donal Logue!
