In college, Dex was the big man on campus. Ten years later, now an overweight kindergarten teacher, Dex is immune to the shocked stares of the women who were once his conquests. While trying to pick up the bartender, he is struck by the gorgeous Syd. Through a series of circumstances, Syd and Dex are thrown together and he soon finds himself questioning his belief in all things Steve.

I love Donal Logue! He is wonderful in this movie. The script is great. The other actors are basically unknown but they have good chemistry.

Boy buddy flick by a chick that doesn't marginalize the male characters. The Hero should be a creep, but he's not and his movement from Serial Borker to guy who falls for the smart chick plays well.

I've got a soft spot for this one. Logue's likable womanizer has just enough pathos to save the movie from careening into a celebration of everything the film is ultimately against. Greer Goodman is overmatched here and the opening title sequence was outdated when the film premiered. But the witty script and the underlying honoring of real goodness and moral excellence keep this one fresh, even on repeat viewings.

this movie was the one of the best writing I've ever seen and the tao works not only have I used it I have taught it and it has worked everytime for the steve's I know!

Donal Logue seems to get fatter in every scene of the movie, it was pretty entertaining movie though.
