Great documentary on the genesis, rise, pitfalls, and accomplishments of one of the greatest studios out there...and certainly the greatest animation studio. Even if you have just a vague interest in how the Pixar team continuously creates breathtaking and moving films, check this out. "Art challenges technology, and technology challenges art"

Absolutely oustanding Doc. on the creation and history of PIXAR. I love origin stories and this is truly a great one. Seeing John Lassiter go from losing his dreams to becoming the head creative honcho at all of Disney with make you want to pop with joy for him. PIXAR is truly a house of genius and we are living in another golden age of animation due to Lassiter, Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird and others.

Wonderfully put together documentary about Pixar and its creators. To the hardcore fans, there's not much new here (some of it feels like it's just a mash-up of all the special features found on Pixar film DVDs) but to those who don't follow all the behind-the-scenes stories, it's a great summary of the company's history. More than anything, it's always a treat seeing the amazing concept artwork that goes into each Pixar project. Fun fact: the film's director is Leslie Iwerks, Ub Iwerks granddaughter. Ub Iwerks was (and sometimes forgotten) co-creator of Mickey Mouse and one of Walt Disney's oldest collaborators.
