How could it miss, it has Gene Kelly, a pirate, music, and just a ton of fun!

Gene Kelly was a genius and the dance numbers BRILLIANT and both were deemed almost too sexy for its time. Some of it was censored at the time of release! ;-)

Certainly not one of the best Freed-Minnelli collaborations, but still completely enjoyable. The works best during it's most surreal moments, especially a "fire & brimstone" dance number that's completely imagined by Garland's character.

I liked this movie, but it was a bit.. werid. I guess haha

Considering how the critics spoke of this film, I was almost fearful to watch it, thinking it must be a trainwreck. God, was I wrong! I LOVE it! It's one of my faves right now. Then again, it's got Judy and Gene...how could it lose? ;)
