Minor leaguer Carlton Garret takes an unexpected road trip to track down his estranged father, legendary baseball player Kyle Garret when Carlton's mother becomes sick. Once reunited, Carlton struggles to deal with the series of misadventures caused by his father's antics. Attempts at bonding come to a head as the mismatched duo make their way from Ohio back home to Houston to reunite the family.

Hmm... You would get interested in it, then it would drift away. It did this through out the movie. So it didn't leave you with anything. HOWEVER Jeff Bridges was AWESOME as always!

Have to admit that Timberlake's performance wasn't half bad. Other than that, "open road" offers you an average road trip movie of personal growth and character building. Watchable but not that memorable.

Not such a bad road movie. Favorite scene was the film showing the viewers "The Peabody" hotel.

Pri tomto filme som sa tesil hlavne na herecke obsadenie. Jeff Bridges, Justin Timberlake a Kate Mara to nemoze byt zly film... a ani nebol, ale nebol ani dobry. Skvely herecky vykon hlavne Jeffa Bridgesa nezachranil podpriemerny pribeh. Pribeh pojednava o roadtripe syna s otcom, ktory cestuju za mamou do nemocnice, a hladaju si cestu k sebe. Nic moc.

This was a decent movie. Cast was good, all the way down to Lyle Lovett as the bartender.
