not a great film by any standards. very formulaic and ordinary with nothing outstanding, besides the always interesting jeff bridges. i have admitted in the past that justin timberlake is becoming a semi substantial actor, but unfortunately he didn't come off that way in this. he seemed whiny, aloof, and entirely unlikable. kate mara was cute as usual, but not enough to elevate this film.

This was a good story line and good characters but it dragged ass. They could have added more to keep us interested.

It's one of your more serious comedies. Pretty much what I had expected from what I knew about the movie going into it. Justin Timberlake is actually turning out to be a pretty good actor. Don't expect to be rotflao, it's not one of those but it does have it's moments.

The film is ultimately a road trip movie - father and son hit the road, where many secrets and feelings come to surface - in the tradition of 2009's Aussie, Charlie & Boots, with a red hot cast including Jeff Bridges, Justin Timberlake, Mary Steenburgen, Harry Dean Stanton and Ted Danson.

doesn't offer much and don't expect much. even then I could have done without such a predictable plot and second rate acting.
