The Laurel & Hardy Moving Co. have a challenging job on their hands (and backs): hauling a player piano up a monumental flight of stairs to Prof. von Schwarzenhoffen's house. Their task is complicated by a sassy nursemaid and, unbeknownst to them, the impatient Prof. von Schwarzenhoffen himself. But the biggest problem is the force of gravity, which repeatedly pulls the piano back down to the bottom of the stairs.

It really aggravated me, this film. I guess I'm not a fan of slapstick comedy. I watched this film in a class.

The classic film of two dopes trying to take a piano up a huge flight of steps is quite funny. My friend and I drove to the location in Hollywood where they filmed this.

Quite probably one of the funniest L&H movies ever. The realisation that all their hard work was just not needed at the end is classic!

You can see the huge influence that this classic short comedy and other similar ones by Laurel and Hardy had on an infinitude of movies, cartoons and comedians that came out after, and it is really funny to see those two wrestling with a piano up and downstairs over and over.
