Kaur and Khan, who was robbed of a IIFA nod, scarcely share a frame of The Lunchbox, yet the emotional connection of their characters is palpable.

(June 2014) Charming, beautiful (beautiful description of the big city Mumbai!), and still appropriately reserved (not overly emotional). Acting by the two main characters is also convincing.

Ritesh Batra's script & direction is absolutely fantastic while his reference to Indian pop culture is marvellous. Terrific & flawless performances by Irrfan & Nimrat Kaur while Nawazuddin Siddiqui manages to impress with his stellar comic timing. Excellent cinematography, editing & that satisfying climax makes this one of the best film this year. The Lunchbox is that one film which will make you smile thinking of it. Must watch. Absolutely in love with this film.
