The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)

Mick Haller is a charismatic defense attorney who does business out of his Lincoln Continental sedan. Mick spends most of his time defending petty crooks and other bottom-feeders, so it comes as quite a surprise when he lands the case of a lifetime: defending a Beverly Hills playboy who is accused of attempted murder. However, what Mick initially thinks is an open-and-shut case with a big monetary reward develops into something more sinister.

A REALLY cool movie about a really cool lawyer dude. From start to finish, we see a lawyer who is at the top of his game, yet finds himself in some dark water. Even until the end, you can't really tell what will happen. The last 20 minutes got a bit confusing, and there seemed to be a small plothole here and there, but overall this movie was REALLY good. Recommended watching.

...the film is mildly diverting, even if it's a "Jagged Edge" (1985) wannabe and wears its manifold cliches on its sleeve.

The Lincoln Lawyer is unlike any other courtroom drama I've ever seen, with unpredictable twists and turns and a very original conflict. The acting is top notch, particularly Matthew McConaughey. An excellent modern movie that should be seen by everyone
