My pick for the most underrated film of all time. Great cast, unpredictable, gripping plotline, strong characters, excellent direction and a brilliant John Barry score. It has been in my personal Top 10 since I first saw it.

Probably the only thing worth noting about this melodramatic costume drama is Michael Caineâ(TM)s performance as an atheist knight. His self loathing is watchable even when the film is not.

Very good film about an almost forgotten part of history. Michael Caine plays the Captain extremely well. Omar Sharif delivers as well.

Beautiful cinematography, good story, brilliant acting, and it still somehow manages to be dreary and depressing. Probably by design, but still...
