Found this gem online last year. Despite being a mega-expensive bootleg, the film is a satirical mocumentary of Polkas, Rock Films, and Lawrence Welk (mostly all of the above). If you like SCTV, then you will love The Schmenges brothers' last performance. Polka hasn't been the same since.

John Candy was my favorite actor. This was my favorite movie. One of those tacky films that you grow to love the more times you see it. .

HBO mockumentary sees Candy and Levy retire their SCTV polka star Schmenge Brother characters. Rick Moranis is great reprising his role as Leutonian star Linsk Minyk. Loved the tuba concert solo and the polka tribute to Michael Jackson.

Before the "This is Spinal Tap" group met up with the SCTV group to make some hilarious mockumentaries such as "Waiting for Guffman", "Best in Show", and "A Mighty Wind", the SCTV group made this very funny mockumentary that riffs on Martin Scorsese's "The Last Waltz. If you love SCTV, you'll love this film.
