The perfect silent movie for those with short attention spans. Granted, it's only six minutes, but it's perfectly executed and very weird.

Maddin does more in 6 minutes than most filmmakers do in 2 hours. Filmed in the Soviet Montage style (with a good dose of German expressionism thrown in for good measure) this love triangle about the end of the world will blow you away before you even know you've been blown away. Best Canadian film ever!

All the money that is wasted in Canada every year on worst self-indulgent, introspective, pseudo intellectual fake art films on the planet and one six-minute film schools the whole horrible mess for the rubbish it is. This is a gem - see it whatever you do and avoid everything else from Canada.

This is Guy Maddin's masterwork and such a rich six minutes that I find something new in each screening still.
