Great movie! Michael Shannon is always great and the little girl carries the show! Check it out!

A slow-burn that stubbornly follows its own path, it is an impressively mature and weighty return to cinema for John McNaughton.

It is, at its best moments, able to draw sympathy out of the viewer for the main characters, but largely, all characters act against common sense and the movie is short on scares or thrills.

It's not a horror movie, it's like a creepy Lifetime movie, and not terribly well made. What are all these great actors doing in this bad, weird movie? I don't see the Misery references either. This is nothing like that, it's just a strange, non-horrifying creepy movie. Predictable "plot twist" you will guess half way through.

Good acting in this one, a few chills, but I found the plot twist extremely predictable which kills any suspense it was trying for.
